Be REAL careful experimenting with rear camber. If the tire is too flat, even by a little, it will seem like your ass is on ice.

Good question Dave. I have no specific knowledge on this subject but I'll have to address this same issue when I mount the +1 AVS tires on my 308. You may check the specs on some of the later Fcars running similar tires and see how they compare with your current specs. Ulitimately, I think you'll have to drive it and see how it feels. Maybe put some paint spots across the tread blocks and see where it rubs off first, as kind of an early indicator of how flat the tires are running on the road. Maybe also check tire temps across the thread after a moderate run. Just some thoughts.

After much waiting, shortly I'll have new BBS 17" wheels for my BB...going with 17x8" in the front and 17x10: wheels in the rear. Tires will be 225/45/17 and 265/40/17s...

The current tires, which have about 13,000 km of use on them show near zero, even wear in the front and heavy wear on the inside edges of the rear. The rear tires...well, they're worn to the wear bars, as well. Current tires are Yoko AVS 225/50/15 front and rears are 255/45/15.

Current alignment specs are:
Front:
0 camber (spec is +10' to +30')
1mm total toe-in (spec is 1-3mm toe-in)
4.5 degrees caster-(factory spec)
33 psi tire pressure

Rear:
-1.30'camber (spec -1.30'to -1.50')
3.5mm total toe-in (spec 2-4mm)
38 psi tire pressure

So, with the new tires of current technology...that I believe would want to run flatter than the old, does anyone have experience as to what would be be the ideal specs for street use. Vehicle stability is more important than tire wear...

Thanks all,

David
