I would have them professionally installed. Call Beau Pirkle at 770.939.6982. He has been installing recessed shields on Ferraris since the Daytona was a new car. I have seen Ferraris in his shop from all over the world for restoration work. In fact the owner of the Sunbeam Bread Company had his 550 shipped from Chicago to his Atlanta area shop a few weeks back for a recessed shields installation . Recessing the fenders is not an easy job and you only get one shot ! |

Hi, and thanks for the help so far. Recessing the badge into the fender sounds like a simple solution. Is this a common way to do it? Or does anybody know if there are other methods of mounting the Shields (I am interested only in original enamel/metal shields). I am also concerned about the mounting placement. How can I find out the standard dimensions, I tend to be very particular about this kind of thing--and I want it to be perfect. I'd very much appeciate any input you may feel relevant. Thanks. -Eric |

Hi Eric, I should have a pair of those shields for you in about 2 weeks, if you can wait. Email me if you are interested. I should be able to save you quite a bit of $$. You could have them recessed into your fender by using the badge itself as a template. |

Hi, I was hoping if anyone knows if the Scuderia Shields can be added to a car without them. I just bought a '95 F355 GTS which has been mildly damaged from a front-end accident and is actually being shipped as I write this. The car received some damage to the fenders which need to be replaced. The car is going to be fixed by a shop I've dealt with before, which only has little Ferrari experience so I am going to be working closely to help find parts etc. I have been doing much research with parts specialists and authorized dealers, but have yet to ask about the shields. I would very much like to have the Scuderia Shields on the car, and I am wondering if this is possible. Do cars with the shields have special fenders to accommodate them? Or, are they just placed/poked into standard fenders? Does Ferrari North America sell the shields for any car or are they hard to get? If anyone has any relevant information/advice that would help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Eric
