Why don't you just have the original re-built? I have done this in the past with good results. There are places that specialize in this. |

does it have the thin belt v-shiv or a standard? I have one with the thin belt that I can part with--belt too Charles |

Your old alternator shold be from Bosch with the parts no. 0 120 489 542. This parts no. is not available any more as a spare part. Bosch delivers instead nearly the same regulator with Bosch parts no. 0986 030 980 for 170 EURO. I have it in the car since early spring and it fits and works perfectly. By the way, all these alternator types were/are used in different Fiat cars.
