Sam I read somewhere on this site that the cd on ebay was not worth the money. |

Correction, my 1.5" hose is NAPA brand, not Gates. It cost < $8 a foot. It has a white stripe on it. It fits the water pump nicely. |

With Gates silicon hoses costing $35 per foot, the Napa parts guys pointed me to Goodyear 1.5 inch gasoline hoses, at $10 a foot. Works great, cheap too, and for those places that are not visible like the bottom of the radiator, it is perfect. I used in all over because I rather like the black hoses matching up with the other black hoses in the car and the black wrinkle valve covers. I got some free Good Year RED gasoline hoses of 1.5" ID, but the wall is so thick it will not expand to slide over the tube. Oh well, that would have been cool, but ... |

The Gates 1.5" works great. Mine has a white stripe on it. Good snug fit. |

I've been pleased with the 38mm Gates Green Stripe II hose for the short water pipe connections. It's a little tight, but the 41mm is a bit too big IMO at temperature and puts good sealing on the clamp alone (rather than some sealing from the contraction of the hose itself). |

My lower rad hose is shot, it is a lttle straight stubby thing...does anyone know the outside diameter (OD) of the lower rad pipe inlet on the 308 qv? I might just use a length of stainles briaded hose (if i knew the OD) for the lower rad hose...It works great on my Jag XKE...lasts forever.. |

I took mine off the car, went to the local Pepboys which allowed me to rummage through their stuff to find something that fits with some modification. |

Sam, saw the cd on ebay...haven't heard if anyone else has purchased it...from what I understand Gates hose #20267, 20065, and 21461 cover most of the hoses. |
