I live in Colorado and have had 2 QV's and 2 328's which came from sea level. Never saw a sticker like that in any car. They all passed emissions easily with no adjustments when they got here. If your car runs fine, I would not give it a second thought. Dave |

The only difference I am aware of is the warm up regulator. For high altitude, the WUR has an extra opening in the body that allows control fuel pressure to vary based on the elevation. This modifies how lean or rich the mixture is. I bought my car in Denver and is was equipped with an altitude compensated WUR. |

My '82 GTSi came from sea-level originaly, I am at 6500 ft. Had problems getting it to meet emissions, needed several adjustments when I bought it last year (runs fine now). question is: sticker in engine compartment says this model is for low altitude use only not certified for high altitude use. What is difference in low vs. high altitude FI / emission componants in 308 series cars? |
