If you have one caliper line unhooked and just drip, drip, dripping....your will probably get air in the rest of the system....maybe....maybe not....just first bleed at the corner you are working at and see how the pedal is....if it is hard and normal then you are probably OK. Standard procedure is to bleed farthest from the master first...RR, LR, RF, LF.

C. Smith,

Providing that there are no leaks in the other calipers, which I don't see, does it really matter how long the LR was disconnected? Why would there be any need to bleed the other corners? With no leaks, then, there shouldn't be any fluid loss to the other corners. Am I missing something?.......assume that I did not step on the brake pedal......which would indeed disrupt the whole system.

It took about a week to finish the project, in my spare time.

How would you bleed them.......which corners first, etc.?

Thanks for the input

If you were quick about it, and did not have the LR caliper fluid line un-hooked for very long you could just bleed it at that corner....otherwise, just bleed all corners and start out with fresh fluid throughout the whole system.

I have always thought that one should bleed the brakes, starting with the furthest one away, which would be the following order in the TR.....RR, LR, RF LF.

According the the TR service manual, page G11, it states to start bleeding the "front" brakes first. Is this wrong?

I have just replaced a flange seal, on the left axle shaft, and had to remove the caliper, etc. Since I did not step on the brake pedal I am assuming the following: Fill with brake fluid, and bleed only the LR. Am I wrong?

Thanks.
