Sounds like the freon went to heaven via a blown hose or seal. That is exactly what happened on my airplane. After shutdown of the right engine -- loud hissing sound for about 2 minutes, then after restart a few hours later -- no cold air (AC compressor is on the right engine). Found blown seal. Turn on the AC and if you hear the compressor kick in then probably just a hole in a hose or seal. |

Was out for a drive today with the AC on as it was pretty hot. The car was running great! Stopped at a store and shut the engine off and noticed a loud hissing sound coming from the engine compartment. I couldn't really see anything coming out as far as liquid. It finally subsided and when I went to turn on the ac it no longer was cold. Did I blow a hose or something and loose my Freon? |
