Thanks Heath for the response. I found the problem. A $0.10 return spring failed in the hand brake lever. This spring applies the tension to the arm that locks into the teeth when you apply the hand brake. Unfortuantely I cannot figure out how to totally dissamble the hand brake to get to the spring. I have a parts catalog that shows the whole hand brake system, but there is no assy diagram for the hand brake itself. Does anyone know how to disassemble this or do I have to go buy a new hand brake at $500 (guess) to fix a $0.10 spring failure? Thanks in advance. |

My emergency brake failed over the weekend. I would guess that it is a cable failure. Any hints on fixing it? |
