It looks a bit like a diverter valve for an air injection system. |

Looks like a vacuum vent valve --- plumbed in as part of the emissions breather circuits. It looks like a non-standard part --- perhaps a universal type added by some earlier owner. Also, it appears to be non-functional (vacuum ports are not connected to anything). I've seen the engine bays of a boat-load of 308's (including Euros), but I've never seen that particular item on any of them. |

It is a euro version. I looked real well in the engine bay for a hose that should be connected to the male end of this piece. I did not find any loose hoses dangleing in my engine. It is possible that the hose was disconnected at both ends and dropped out of the engine completely. |

Ric, my vote is that the coil connections look like a Euro version, but I don't have that item Andrew is pointing at on my car. I'm don't know what that is. |

Is your car a Euro? I'm fairly certain this is not an OEM Ferrari part, but I'm not 100% sure. My Euro TR has one, but it's nowhere in the parts books. It's a vent valve, possibly with rollover protection (the vent closes if the car inverts). On my TR, the lower side connects to the gas tank and the upper side is connected to a hose that vents to the pavement, directly in front of the right rear wheel. |

Hello, I have a 1984 308. It the fumes from the exhaust started smelling oily and gasy today so i took a look in the trunk. I noticed there was a metal part under the rear window with a hose on one side, but no hose comming out the other side. The other side hase a male nub which makes me believe that there should be a hose connected. I think it might be some sort of emissions part. I have attached a picture. Please let me know what that part is & its function. Please also let me know about the missing hose. Thanks for your time. |
