Terry and Jerry, Ferrari service bulletin, number 321, issued in 1977, shows how an aluminum plug is fitted to the distributor drive. This was apparently phased into production starting with GT-4 sn 02599 and GTB sn 00848. The GTS is not specifically mentioned, but I assume this is because the GTS was not yet introduced. My 1978 308 GTS was plugged. When you remove your distributors, you should be able to probe the center of the distributor drive coupling with a piece of wire and feel if it has been plugged. You may even be able to see it with a light. |

The cover they are sending you for the rear distributor, how does it plug the camshaft? Without the distributor plugging into the camshaft, you will have an 85PSI oil leak gushing against the cover plate. I was told by the guys at Norwood that they usually had a small freeze plug welded into place on the camshaft to plug this leak. What is your plan? I ask because I am installing my Millermon converstion later today and would like to remove the rear distributor as well. |

Yes they are Etoiles (#55) and they did not come with the car, I got them from a guy in CA. off Lyle Tanner's parts exchange on his website. BTW I have a cover on it's way from Ferrari of Los Gatos for the rear bank dist., which will make it look much cleaner under the hood. |

They are etoiles, yes? I refinished mine, (also etoiles). They are rare. Yours are beautiful! Here's a pic without the center cap. Jeff |

Did you buy those wheels, or did they come with the car? Are they 16"? They look awsome because they have some Tan in them that matches your interior. Really looks good. |

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have been running this system for 2 months now and I would NEVER go back to the stock set-up. BTW I have redone this car from the top down (including crawling under the car and wire wheeling and re-painting...did not re-build engine or gear box as they are both running/working like a dream). You would never know that it has 97,000 miles on it! I am extremely close to having it in showroom condition, except for changing my dist., TUBI, wheels, which I consider improvements. Jerry |

I finally scaled down the photos of Ben Millermon's single distributor set up.
