I beleive they are flanged. They were bent and welded and then painted. Thats part of the rust problem on the doors etc. There is no protection in the seam whatsoever.

hello all,
I recently purchased some lower front fender panels (you know the part of the fender below the body line and behind the front wheels that likes to rot out)from Ferrari Spares in the UK...I'm tired of patching it and watching it blister back again in a year or so. Anyway, Eddie Walsh supplied me with some great replacement panels. Just have a question before I begin cutting out the bad metal...does anyone know if the original panel was butt welded or flange welded to the front fender...it looks to me like ferrari flange welded in the body seam and slopped some type of seam sealer over the top..but I'm not to sure.
