So, if it's not technically a 'targa' is the correct name a Testarossa GTS????? (ha, ha, ha)

It's being sold by Exotic Cars Wholesale. The famous "give me $5k as a deposit" folks.

Martin, there's a yellow Testarossa sitting right next to a white one, at the Bentley dealer, here on the island... i would take the yellow over the white, anyday...

William, the "free jacket" joke is ongoing thing between Lemus and i... not sure why you take that personal, but i'm in no way trying to offend anyone, here...

somebody really likes yellow!

..where is NIka when we need her?

I kiund of like it. Would not buy it, love the true TR too much, but the yellow is a great color on a TR. The yellow in the rims reminds me of my race car...ah, precious memories.

No!: I see where you are coming from, but,my point was about the specific name, "targa". A 328GTS isn't a 328 targa, a pop-top C5 vette isn't a Corvette targa. The only "targa"(the name not type of roof) I'm aware of are Porsche's.

I saw that one earlier tonight will browsing ebay as well. The interior gave me a good laugh. For a second I thought it was a kitcar too.Although I must admit the older tr with the brown leather dash does,'t look to good to me either.

"This exquisite example of the exotic muscle car"

Ya..that's it. It looks like a PONTIAC Kit car.

(foot tapping waiting for Paul, DES, and Bruce to chime in.)

Actually, looks like a Fiero

Targa is a type of top... Just like there are cars named "Coupe" it doesn't mean another car can't be a 2 door coupe...

It could also lose the "targa" emblem. As far as I know the only actual "targa"'s came from Stuttgart. ;-)

I thought it looked like a kit car too...I love the Testarossa but that Targa job just doesn't look right for some reason. It looks like they adjusted the size and height of the windows and now it looks off. I think the yellow looks a little too bright and highlighter-like too...

I saw this car last weekend. Normally I like yellow and I like TR's BUT the targa (which I thought would be perfect for a TR) just didn't look right.

The combination of the color and the targa made it look like a kit car. I don't say this often...but it looks better in these photos then it did in real life.

Yes, Jim, i'm baiting you, but i'm serious, as well...

Maybe some of the people on Cribs were born in the ghetto, but there's no way of knowing that for sure, unless they say so... Secondly, if they were born in the ghetto, that doesn't make them a thug; thirdly, just because someone owns something that is obscenely guady, doesn't mean they ever lived in the ghetto, at all... i know quite a few people around here that own guady things (jewelry, furniture, etc) and they don't even know how to GET to the nearest ghetto... (although, by technical definition, they live in a ghetto, as well, but that's for another thread)...

i'm not trying to beef with you, but by bringing out this conversation, i hope i'm bringing out how silly it sounds to call things "ghetto"...

Lastly, i didn't take it as a racially motivated statement, but i DO think it's a silly thing to say...
...and i'm not a liberal, LOL.

Are you baiting me or serious? Most of the cribs guys were born and raised in the ghetto and you can take a thug out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of a thug. money won't buy class.

Now I know you are a left wing liberal so don't take this as a racialy motivated statement

by ghetto I mean I picture someone from Mtv cribs rolling up in that thing. All it needs are some 19 inch HRE chrome wheels.

I used to like the targa conversions years ago, but for some reason now I don't. Getting old and crotchity.

i like it, it looks fine to me, except for those little 'bumpies' on the inside of the door... and i still don't understand the "ghetto" term... someone care to explain that to me...?

I don't like the ostrich, but I really do like the targa conversion. Imagine, the open air enjoyment of the GTS with the power of the flat 12.

By the way, I'm throwing the "On Topic" flag here! :-)
