Frank, why not drop the $5000 on tickets? you increase your chance to 5000 out of 999999999999999999999999999999.

One more number and you would of had $200 mil... you were 1 in 44 from winning that $200 mil.

Dang! I was close. Spent $2 and I got 4 numbers plus the powerball. Prize is $5K. Nice return!! I'll take that! Since nobody won it, it's pushing the $260M mark now. So I'll go out on a limb and spend $5 this week.

My thoughts, exactly- the government sucks...! Back in the '20s, when people used to "run numbers", it was illegal- now that the government does it, it's fine- they just wanna tax the outta whatever you really deserve...
The corporate capitalist nazi government can kiss my ass...!

you win 100 they pay you over 25 years or you can take it all now, but you only get half as they calculate the payoff amount based on earning interest for thosw 25 years. then you get taxed at least 38% on the half you receive.
so 100=50 now x 62% = 35 million'ish

cash value option and taxes take it to about 40% of the orginal pot. however, I would rather invest the money than get paid for 20 years. You can buy Powerball in a bunch of states, maybe 15 or so. My mom is bringing a ticket down from Kansas.

Hi Jim,

I can't believe you don't own a F-car with that lot of money. Go and get at least one or two F-cars that you long for.
Life is short and we get older everyday. Just invest your money and enjoy life.

I might have to re-consider if I am an idiot spending a big portion of my net worth on a TOY?!

215 and all you end up with is 66? i would have guessed it to be more like 100. even so, i would not mind a cool 66 mill. I think i'd invest it wisely, maybe pick up an M5 and pay for college, then when i graduate, buy a nice house and another car. I would even be able to own a mclaren F1, which is something i dont expect to be able to do in the future.
