Based on the way they were driving the 550 in the preview, I need to get the serial number of that car, and make sure it never ends up on my want list.

Norm, someone mentioned a preview to the sequel of Bad Boys, but in which thread, i cannot recall... they said there is something like a 15 minute or 19 minute car chase scene with alot of hot cars (but if you look below, you'll find that my time assumptions for car chases aren't very accurate)... Someone else might remember which thread it's in will most likely redirect you... If you do a search on here, for Bad Boys II, you might find it... i can't wait to see it, the first one was pretty good...

I went to the movies over New Year's, in the middle of about 45 perviews and commercials was a preview that had a lot of shots of a 550. The car looked similar/same as Nick Cage's car in Family Man. I think the preview was for Bad Boys 2, has anyone else seen this one?

Robert, car chases in general get me going, i still wanna see the movie, no matter what, however this is the DEScription of the movie, from the compiled list of movies that involve Ferraris: A red/yellow 365 GTB/4 Daytona was involved in one of longest and best ever Ferrari chase scenes in the 1974 film "Gone in 60 Seconds."- i don't know where i got that '15 minutes' crap from, but that caption gives me the impression that there's a Ferrari actively involved in the chase... maybe it's just ambiguously worded... (that list, by the way, can be viewed here: http://www.ferrariclub.com/faq/tv.html - it also incluDES any mention of a Ferrari in commercials, songs, music videos & television shows)...

Any ideas on where i might be able to get ahold of the original flick...?

DES I received the original gone in 60 seconds 1974 for Christmas a couple of years ago and after reading your post last night I dug it out and watched it. There isn't a 15 minute car chase with a Ferrari but they do show a parked 365 a couple of times. You should definately see this movie though I guarantee you will love it. There is a 40 minute non-stop car chase were they wreck 93 cars! Check out www.gonein60seconds.com

Sorry if these movies were mentioned previously (I didn't look up the previous thread) but a few that I remember:

Canonball Run-I don't remember if it was the first or the sequel. Had a red 308 with Sammy Davis Jr in it. Also a Lambo appeared in the opening sequence of one of these movies.

National Lampoon's Vacation-Christie Brinkley in the red 308.

Here's a good one-"The Hidden" I think that was the name. It was about an alien that transferred itself from human to human, killing each in the process. Anyway, one of the "victims" likes Ferraris so there were numerous scenes with Ferraris (308 and Mondial).

Everyone knows about Ferris Bueller but I believe they used a reproduction Ferrari in that one.

Redline-This was a dumb movie that's been on Cinemax recently. It's about a guy who steals cars to order. One was a, you guessed it, red 308!

Goldeneye-The new James Bond movie has more exotics, but this movie had a great scene with the F355 racing the Aston Martin DB5. It's fun watching again even if you've seen it before.

Went to the movies this weekend and saw a preview for a movie with Steve Martin (can't remember the name of it but it was co-staring Queen Latifa) and there was a scene with a red TR in the background. Looked like a funny movie.

Omar, nice to see you, again... The Ferrari is in Beverly Hills Cop I... Funny movie, Eddie Murphy's older stuff is alot better than his newer stuff... The Ferrari is paid for (rented) by the precinct for him to use during a sting operation and... well, forget me, just go rent it, it's worth it...

Hey Mitchel how are you? I saw that scene in the movie. It wasn't in the video version it must have been an uncut scene or something. I was very excited to see it in there.

Ok, i know this topic has been done before- in fact, that's why i'm starting a new thread and that's why it's in the Off Topic section. Last night, i went to the archived thread: "Your Favorite Ferrari Movie Scene" and searched it for the list Andreas linked me to, which was a compilation of many movies, all of which had Ferraris in them. My first mistake was renting 'The Heist', when i should have rented 'Heist'. i sat through an Ice-T movie thinking i would see a Ferrari and, well... you get the picture...

Secondly- my more important reason for reiterating this thread is to find out, specifically, which movies have a lot of Ferrari action in them. The list that Andreas linked me to DOES state that the original Gone In 60 Seconds (1976) has, what is believed to be, quite possibly, the longest Ferrari chase scene (15 minutes). Whether the movie's been out-dated or not, a 15 minute car chase scene is worth watching (i'm sure you can assume from this that blockbuster didn't have it, when i went there, last night).
What other movies have a lot of Ferrari/Lamborghini action in them... two blockbusters i went to didn't have Gumball Rally, so i can almost guarantee they won't La Passione. They also didn't have a slew of other movies i wrote down and read off, while i was there (i read off mostly some of the older ones)... i know some of you have collected/are collecting these movies, but i don't have the time, nor the resources, nor the interest to collect the movies, i just wanna watch some of the better ones... Of course, they didn't have LeMans, either, which everyone seems to recommend... Any suggestions...? i would greatly appreciate it, thank you...
