I found a very nice place 160 km NW of Milan called Courmayeur which is on the border with France & Switzerland. I can put up the weblink if ant1 is interested, will bring fotos back

William - If you end up in France, there is great skiing at many places, but I've really enjoyed both Chamonix and Val Thorens.
Apres-ski in France is a great time.

ok So I'm going to europe in a week or so, not sure if I'm headed to Paris or Milan. which do you suggest for access to good skiing not too far away ? Specific names & websites would be very helpful. Thanks
