I was flipping through the channels last night, and I came across Full Metal Jacket on BBC America.
I haven't seen that movie in a while.
Man, it brought back memories. Not of Nam, mind you, as I wasn't even born yet. But that movie does and OUTSTANDING job of representing the comraderie and espit de corps that is found in my Marine Corpse.
I wish I could call some of my old Marine Corps buddies right now. I haven't seen or heard from them in nearly 9 years. Watching that movie last night made me think of them, and remember them, and man, I miss those days. |
