PPG, Pilkington, Safe-T, SafeLite, ASG, there are numerous windshield manufacturers. They all use the same process and must meet certain mfr. safety specs.
The major difference I have some across in windshields is that, many times, you'll pay more for OEM windshields as opposed to an aftermarket supplier. As far as 'quality of glass' varying from mfr. to mfr., you'll find this is negigible if apparent at all.
In the past, I have come across a situation where aftermarket windshields are, sometimes and in rare instances, a bit harder to fit as the size/mfr. tolerances may be a bit off. Otherwise, you'll find that, in most cases, glass is glass.
If I can be of further assistance, lemme know. My family was in the glass business for many many years.
