There is also "The Collection" down in Miami. The place is several stories high and takes up a whole block!

Rob, I never said that I don't like Ferraris. But when somebody tells me that 308 or 360 is faster than a Viper I say how it is LOL

BTW any large dealers on the east coast?

I asked the guy working on an F-40 there if there was another facility. he said no. I always want to see and speak with the techs, you can learn alot from them about a dealer.

Ferrari Los Gatos (parts and) service dept. like several other dealers of all makes in the area (including Ferrari of San Francisco), have found that it's acceptable to have the service facitity located seperately from the sales building - espeically in this area of area sensitive real estate pricing. In FLG's case what you saw was the detail dept, (parts and) service are ~3 miles away, they can service 40+ cars there, including the other makes they represent. FSF situation is similar since they are the only Auth MAS dealer/service in the area.

Just FYI.

Dave,

Los Gatos sells a lot of Ferrari's. They were averaging 4 - 5 new a month and 8-10 used per month

Los Gatos is the worst I have ever seen. I went by there when I was nearby on Buss to look at a 246 dino(the car was shipped to another dealer). It looked like a used car lot and the service dept was 2 bays with one guy.

The F dealers do not get similar allocations.of F cars.Allocation is based on # of previous sales, demographics and other factors. For instance here in Portland,Or,Ron Tonkin purportedly the oldest dealership in the US gets many fewer cars than say Shelton in FL.

since the dealers get similar allocation they prob all about same size. Prob ones in NY, LA and FL are the biggest - but that is about all of them anyway
