What i'm fortunate for is far too long to list, as i hit these keys on my lap top, in my own apartment with heat, with a phone and electricity and two internet accounts and people near by in case i need something and on and on and on...

We sure are. In india, half the population have NEVER slept with a roof over their heads.
I take it for granted. Im really lucky that my parents are shelling out $35k a year for me to go to college.

i went out for lunch today, got to the deli, realized i had no cash, told the guy i'd be back in a minute. i got in my car to go the ATM and when i closed my door, it banded against the side of the car and opened right up, again. the latch just all of a sudden broke, somehow. not only that, i went to three different ATMs and my account was frozen for some reason. i finally went to my bank and addressed the issue with a banker and was told i "must have put in the wrong number" (all three times...?!?) and that i could take cash out, right there, but my ATM would be frozen for 24 hours. i brought my car to the mechanic; there was nothing he could do. i'm now tying my seat belt to the thingie that opens the door from the inside, just to keep the door closed until i can get it fixed. i'm so overworked in the office, these days, for every one thing i finish, three more things get put on my DESk; my boss doesn't want me working past 6, 'cause of all the overtime i put in during the last quarter, so now i'm down time AND money. i need to get my door, my headlight and my oil leak fixed before i end up having to buy a new car, altogether, but with my boss cutting my work time at 6 and my insurance being due in a week and a half, i'll be stretching things pretty thin.

After work, i came to my aunt's house to babysit. i'm flipping through the channels and i happened on a special regarding the AIDS situation in Africa. Did you know over 10 million kids lose at least one of their parents in Africa, per year...? over 6,000 people die, each day, in Africa, from AIDS. i knew it was bad over there, but i had no idea to that extent- not to mention the poverty beyond any poverty we know here, in america.

At the end of the day, i find that i'm very fortunate and i'm thankful for what i have. This world is very #@$%ed up. Just thought i'd share.
