Jerry, you made me laugh. Thanks for the chuckle, it's good to laugh on a Friday afternoon! :-)

Scott, you are way over my midwestern head with that stuff. Does that mean, "it's Friday dudes...let's get hammered!?"

I call it the Solomon syndrome. Ecclesiastes is a great treatise on the subject. Check out the book "Half Time" by Bob Buford. I find that when we become what we do, we lose who we are. Remembering who I am as a husband, father, friend and child of God keeps me from slipping into the trap of depression. A friend of mine has written a great little book called, "Leadership Prayers", Richard Kreigbaum in the first chapter titled "Identity" hits it on the head.

Woke up (late) this morning to find snow all over the place... Goddamnit, i hate this weather... i've strongly considered California, but with my job seeming to be more stable than i am, i'm not so sure that would be the wisest move... Arizona or Nevada have always appealed to me... Long, open roads with nothing for miles... i need a job where all that's required is driving all around the country (the nice weather parts :-)), but not in a truck... It's gotta be a car... Sometimes, car magazines do cross-country tests on cars, to see how they are, after certain amounts of mileage- that's what i need to do...

Sigh... the phone is ringing... gotta go... :-(

Jerry, I live on the road. No seriously, I drive a little over 50,000 miles a year. I am in the medical sales and software sales businesses so I spend a lot of time travelling. I reside both in KS and OK and spend most of my time travelling back and forth. I too am thinking of Florida. I get down there as often as I can, it just seems that in the last two years I'm spending much more time dealing with things I don't enjoy than things I do. The last time I found myself in that situation I sold my businesses and got into sales. This time, not sure what I'll do. Maybe retire and lay on the beach all day and look at bikinis.

I am planning on moving to south Florida as soon as my girls get a little older (won't miss Grandma & Grandpa as much then). Michigan is awesome in the summer, but I hate snow. Tyler, where do you live?

Tyler I have no idea what you are talking about?

I took off work yesterday at 2:30 and drove the 348 top down for a while. Actually did my "over 40K" on I95 at 70Mph (pictures will follow in general). It was a nice sunny day. :-O

Tyler, the bitter cold of the East Coast was just one of the things that made me move to the West Coast (just one of the things, there were many more as well...). I've never regretted it. In fact, I absolutely feel that life back there would not have come close to being as good as it is out here.

Easy DES..... happy thoughts, happy thoughts. I don't like hearing about people wanting to off themselves. I lost too many friends that just couldn't take the pressure of life. The sad thing is they really had a lot going for them. If anything, go on a road trip, see America, I used to do many road trips to Colorado for mountain biking & skiing to clear my thoughts. It's a big world out there, exploring it opens the mind. Get out & have some fun. :-O

When my ex-wife was taking me to the cleaners years ago, I almost dropped out and went to the Caribbean. On some of the islands (Saba, for example), you can live dirt cheap amongst European decendant natives. Almost did it.

Just wondering if people feel the same way I do sometimes.

I worked late tonight and spent the last couple hours smoking a Diplimaticos torpedo and drinking a couple of nice glasses of El Tesoro Paradiso.

It's freezing cold here and I abhor the cold. Sometimes I just think, " F&$# it, I'll close everything down and move to the Bahamas, or at least Florida." I get this way every winter and I know that one of these days I'm just going to go.

Sorry for the rambling, just wondered how many others out there think this way sometimes.
