I can't believe anyone would actually suggest that you dispose of your car in a manner of a fraud insurance claim. Bigtime trouble

good idea.

Its in very good condition, overall, with a few scratches (driver side bumper, driver and passenger side rear spoiler as well as a few in the plastic front..I live in hilly PA) and was my daily driver during the summer. Now i dont have time to drive my f-car (weather premitting as well) let alone my NSX as much. For that reason, I really dont need what has been described as one of the best exotic daily drivers...since I only drive it once in a while anyway...it might as well be my fav car then..another f-car. :-)

I dont know how much exactly...but it all depends on if the f-car I am currently looking at (again) turns out to be a dud. (I tryed this before when I was looking at a 355 that 'dudded' on me...as well as TR that did the the same...now I am in disscussion on a 512TR)

The thing is I will be going back the MD next week, and thus my car will remain here in NE PA, this makes it hard to deal with people askng about the car, wanting to look at it/drive it etc, since I will be 3 hours away. So I am thinking maybe to post that its available for sale like suggested and consign it to a dealer? Would that be a good idea? I could prob. do that with the local acura dealer..I guess.

thoughts?

BTW
Tim, maybe its Trodd? ;)
Kenny, I don't think anyone would mind haveing a E type as a garage queen :-)

Omar,
Post it on NSX Prime (NSX Classifieds)... You are sure to get some responses that way. How much are you asking for the car and what condition is it in?

Do people often report their own cars stolen and then just part them out?

Omar, they are my dad/uncles cars... We have a series 3 (v12) and 2 XKE- the series 3 is a coupe- beautiful cars, but, like all English cars, watch out for the electrical systems... It's a fun car to drive- its not a performance car persay- so you really can't drive it like one- but it still handles fairly well, and has some nice straight speed acceleration. The cars really don't get out unless I take them out- I probably put 100-500 miles on the cars a year at best- they are garage queens... I couldn't tell you how reliable they are, because- they are rarely driven.

You can donate it to a charity and then deduct the ACV of the car from your taxes.

He says insurance wouldnt cover it cuz he left the keys in the car.

Bring it to Detroit, park it downtown, and *accidently* drop the keys by the drivers door while putting them in your pocket. Go to the Auto Show for a couple hours, come out and your problem is solved :-)

My first sports car, a red/black 97 NSX targa six speed (31,000 miles).

It is interesting, the car can put the hurt on my 328 in terms of performance in every catagory. (and probably a stock 348 since its a NA2 and not the far slower NA1), yet after driving my 328, she doesnt do it for me anymore. I still get taken a back by its speed, handling, and grip and a wonderful scream that changes with driving style (vtec on/off) Its the fastest car I have ever driven...but then I have not driven many exotics

BUT I would still take my 328 over it anyday...the click click of the shifter...deep growling engine...the wonderful odd interior (the dials are soo small and hard for me to read since I am tall and the steering wheel gets in the way)I love it for some odd reason, despite it all!

OT: Kenny, what did you think of your E type? what series was it? how did it handle/drive? Was it fun? Thoughts on the car?

...while still getting a ok/slightly low price for it?

I need to sell of my one cars in order to get another, but am stuck with looking at dealers (since they trade in) who ask too much for the car I am looking at in the first place, and cant look at personal sellers.

So I ask how can you do it? I would love to sell it myself, but won't have the time on my hands in a week.
