Ron, I hear that, I was on the ground rolling when I heard that they were using a 'large caliber hunting round' A .223? yea right. A real bolt action with a larger round would have been better in terms of range, firepower, etc, not to mention cheaper as well. "High powered rifle" the AR15? I wonder what they think a 300 Mag is...a anti-tank gun? (For those wondering, AR15s are chambered to an intermediate round...not quite as big as a normal long range rifle's round, not quite as small as a pistol's round) It is sad to think that people actually beleive the media drool. Next think you know, the .44 mag will become a 'long range hunting round' or will be used in 'high powered rifles'

This is no different than Bushmaster being sued because a couple of whackjobs decided to take one of their AR-15 rifles and use a bunch of pedestrians in the D.C. area for target practice. What makes the lawsuit even more stupid, is that using a regular ol' bolt action hunting rifle would have made more sense than a semi-automatic rifle that tosses evidence (empty case) on the ground. It's much easier to blame objects that have been demonized by politicians and those with an agenda, than to do a little homework and find the true source of society's problems. (where's that soapbox when I need it...) |

During the 4 yrs it takes to go to trial the plaintiff's attorney comes to my same place to eat weekly. I did not tell him til right befor the trial that i was the owner an why if he really believes my place is so unsafe that he keeps coming back! He turned red ran out an said "great food". My excellant atty. found a nyc size yellow pages amount full of other suits an no surprise this POS was a professional plaintiff. He lost i won. |

CNBC just reported that the McDonald's suit has just been thrown out. Judge correctly rules that the plaintiff's failed to show that consumer's were unaware of the health risk of eating fat and greasy food. Common sense prevails! Regards, Jon

Too bad the "Blame Game" is big business. What ever happened to being accountable for your own actions. |

If stupidity were a crime, then there would be a lot more people on death row... It's pretty cold here in the northeast now, and has been for a couple of weeks. Maybe some idiots will get together and sue the weatherman on tv for making it so cold. DUH!!! |

I can remember back in the '50s when I was a child. Anyone with any brains knew that smoking was bad for you. I have no sympathy for those who smoke and die. I smoked upon occasion as a teenager and into my low 30's. I quit. If I croak from it, it was my fault. Some people cannot accept blame for their foibles. They have to blame someone else and tobacco companies have a lot of money. It's so simple.....quit smoking. If you are fat, quit eating so much. Ever see an fat old person? Obesity will kill you too. What do you want to do? Sue food companies and restaurants because they sell good tasting food and you cannot control yourself and stay away from the trough. And then there is the booze problem. If you drink excessively, it will kill you too. So let's go after the booze companies for one more human foible. Get real. Take responsibility for your activities. Let blame land where it should. |

When all is said and done, the Tobacco company can kiss my ass. I hope every stupid m*therf*cker who keeps on smoking ends up taking those assh*les to court. The tobacco company deserves every bit of hell that any lawyer puts them though. Plain and simple. The evidence there that they manipulate the product to be as addictive as possible. While this is OK for fruit juice or bread, it is TOTALLY immoral and unehtical to do it to a killer like cigarettes. Sorry, getting off my soap box now... |

What a retrded PC world we are living in. First the tabacco companies get nailed & of course its their fault that so many people started this filthy habit & have little self control. Next we hear that SUVs are funding Assama & terrrorism. So if you use drive an SUV you are serving the devil. Nevermind that the logic content of this arguement is between 0 - nothing. I mean how much oil do SUVs use compared to industry, airlines, trains, warships, cars etc ? Why not say that the US Navy sponsors Assama cus you know the US Navy uses A LOT of oil. Makes just as much sense as saying that SUV drivers help Assama. And now some dirtbag lawyers in NYC have seen it in their wisdom to sue McDonalds for making adults & children obese & leading to early death. DUH!!!!!!!!!!! Ever heard of a diet book ?? Ever heard of self discipline or self respect ? These people should be sued for being overly stupid. Better yet lets round them up and see if we can use stupid people as an endless source of renewable fuel |
