I live in Tulsa, OK and Wichita, KS. But I'm on the road so much I really don't get much time to call any place home.

I asked around a little and people say good things about Vigilant. Since your not storing a large amount of cigars I think you'll be pleased with the "furniture" type of humidor. Once you go with active humidification you'll never go back. I have some beautiful desktop humidors that sit around and collect dust now.

I have 400 or so loose cigars, many of significant vintage and any number of boxes. Originally, i was not looking for a piece of furniture, but the smaller units seem to be these end table affairs, largely set up for boxes. I also like the humidification system offered by Vigilant, which appears to be less micky mouse than alot of the others. I am trying to maintain a fairly large investment in the cigars i have, and with added capacity, may want to store more, but don't have visions of a room-sized facility. I am just getting tired of dealing with table top boxes, and all that entails, particularly with passive humid-systems.

WM Hart, I am not familiar with Vigilant but they have some nice looking pieces on their website. My experience is with Pendergast. He makes a great product. You can get more info at www.jcpendergast.com

What capacity humidor do you require? The reason I ask is if you are seeking a stand alone that will accomodate 150 boxes or more it may be more cost effective to look at a built-in humidor.

I've been shopping for a large, commercial type cigar humidor and have settled on a Vigilant, which uses a digitally controlled humidifying unit, fairly large capacity, very high quality cabinetry. Wondering if others have dealt with this company, or any of the other "high-end" makers of big, display cabinet, active humidification system type humidors?
