Rob: Thank you for a good trick. For the first half of the day, it was fun, and I got plenty of laughs from the fun-spirited participation of almost all contributors to the DESchat forum. You're correct in presuming that some (dare I guess, many?) of us enjoyed the section and your intent in creating it was not lost on us. The mean-spirited attempt at �humor� that arose later was a sorry display, and predictable given the participants and their history on this forum. Keep up the good work, Rob. | ||

maybe you and i have different definitions of flaming. You have to agree the section got alot more entertaining once pat and i started going at it. The thing that you probably dont realize is that none of it gets to me or irks me, but rather it all amuses me. its the internet for christs sake. if i let every little thing on the internet piss me off, i would have had a heart attack by now. If you think i was the ONLY person opposed to DESchat, you are mistaken. for the most part, it wasnt anything personal against DES himself. ps- i think the flaming remained civil. all sides of it had some witty responses. | ||

Man Tim, Mike is right on here. Everyone was having a good time with it until you started posting. I don't doubt you think DesChat was a waste of bandwidth for you. You know, each and every day there's a high percentage of messages on here that have no relivance to me, my interest, and in a sense are a personal waste of bandwidth. Do I get myself involved and ruin it for those that are interested. No I don't, I just leave it alone. Only reason it was a waste of bandwidth for you was because you chose to take part. Did you participate in FerrariChat.com Europe or maybe even Other Italian yesterday? BTW, the flame war didn't bother me, why? Because I saw it the first time and just left it alone, what a waste of bandwidth. | ||

Tim, just a question. Why the •••• did you have to rain on the fun? I'm glad I got to have a few laughs from DesChat.com in the morning while you were still getting ready for nursery school, before you came in and messed it all up. Now, realize Tim, I swear, I'm holding back here, because I'm sensitive that you might have confidence issues, etc., and I don't want to exacerbate those issues by being unnecessarily pointed here. i just wanted it taken off. i planned on it going to the flame and shame archive, but no such luck. its not my fault pat decided to provoke me. in the end i feel as if i got the upper hand. Um, nothing wrong with the entire thing except maybe how Tim and Pat were acting. I would hope the other hundreds of users didn't let two people ruin the fun. Most found it hilarious, but it was time to move on. Wait til next year, I just hid it from view, that's why you can still access it from the link or search engine. DesChat.com gets one day a year. Yes, we all had a good laugh with that april fools joke, mostly at the expense of others. Thank god that DESpicable section DESsapeared. At TIMes, i had to resort to DESperate measures to riD thE Site of it. i hope DES isnt too DESsapointed that some peope took siDES against a section DESvoted to him. it really did interfeDESere with intellignet DEScussion on the site. it was very DEStracting. I'm not going to DEScribe all the flaming because it will take too much TIMe, but some of us DEServe accolaDES for our flaming skills. That section was threating to DEStroy the site. Many members were DEStraught by it. I was DESheartened by the behavior of some members, they didnt DEServe all of it, gave reason for DESlike. We also got to see some DESperately try to be funny. i think we can all agree that it is good that rob DESiDES to take it down. now back to DEScussing those cars maDES in itaDESly. no more exDESsive flaming. | ||
