Yes, she already knew we were getting married, it was just the official proposal that was not in place. |

"Earlier that day she had gone up to the same canyon to look at a place for our Wedding Reception" Maybe I am missing something but doesn't that mean you were already planning to get married? Congratulations nonetheless. |

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies..." Prov.31 When you find the right woman, hold on tight! My beautiful wife and I will celebrate 28 years this Thursday. Sorry guys, I'm the most blessed man on the planet. Much more beneficial to read this thread than some of those others! |

Matthew - Congratulations! I can totally relate as my own experience was so recent. There was so much that could have gone wrong, and seemed to be, with my plans (the crew were really behind that day and it was stressing everyone out. I was literally sitting there as the day was winding to a close thinking to myself, "maybe this is a sign that I'm not supposed to do it this way - maybe I should think of something else".) However, within minutes everything came together more perfect than I could have imagined. The crew really rallied to help me pull it off and I am eternally grateful. Sounds like the same serendipity came your way - let's take it as a sign things were meant to work out. Best of luck, ~Chris |

I did not get to take an F-car out, but I am going to ask him if I can drive his 360 Spider on our Wedding day. He is very generous with me, maybe because we share the same enthusiasm. |

Congratulations! Remember what I was being told when I married and the day will come when you need it: Marriage is like a rose garden, it takes lots of love and care to keep it up and make the rose bloom as good as they possibly can. You have to weed often and trim the branches frequently. Understand to not take your rose for granted and work on your relation like on your garden. Hope this will help you as much as it did for me. |

Well last night came together like it had been planned out for 5 years. It could not have been better. First I took her out to dinner at PF Chang's. This is the restaurant that we went on our first date last summer. She didn't think anything of it because I take her out qutie often. Dinner went well, we got a table in the back corner where there was nobody to bother us. My plan after dinner was to take her up to the park in the canyon and ask her to marry me. I was struggling with how I could get her up there without her wondering what was going on. She, unknowingly, helped me out with this. Earlier that day she had gone up to the same canyon to look at a place for our Wedding Reception. She loved the place and booked it. During dinner she asked me if I wanted to go up and see it. "Perfect!", I thought to myself. This way we are already up in the canyon and then I can just stop at the park and she will be unsuspecting. So after dinner we went up to the Reception Center. It was quite beautiful. It had a pond with a bridge across the pond, a big area with green grass and a fountain in the middle. It was gorgeous. After we looked at that we started to drive back down the canyon and I stopped at the park. I told her that I just wanted to walk around a little but since it is rare that I get out of the city. When I parked I got out of the car and went to my trunk to "see" if I had any blankets becuase it was a bit chilly. I knew I did not have any blankets but I did have a dozen red roses for her in there. I got them out and said "I can't find any blankets, but I found these." I then gave her the roses. She was shocked. She ran up and hugged me for about 10 minutes and would not let go. Finally, she let go and we went for our walk. We got to the bridge that crossed the stream and I stopped there. We just sat there for a few minutes and talked. I told her how much I loved her and that she makes me a better person. And for DES, I told her that it would take a million ENZO's to even come close to how much I think she is worth. She just chuckled at that comment. During this whole time I made it a point to keep my car keys in my hand. Now the time had come. I showed her that I still had my car keys in my hand and went to put them in the pocket of my jacket. I put the keys away and grabbed the ring which was in the same pocket. I then gave her a hug and told her again how much I loved her and then got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said "Yes, I will!" and then just grabbed me and hugged me for another few minutes. I told her that she needed to stop hugging me so that I could put the ring on her finger. She said that she couldn't let me go because she never wanted to. A few minutes later I was able to put the ring on her finger and then we left. It worked out so perfectly. Thanks to all that gave me suggestions and helped me remember the small simple things that would make all the difference. I am the luckiest and happiest guy in the world. |
