Bob, We have tried to repair many of those transmissions. Because of the critical adjustments, I usually send them to an expert with all the parts & adjustment procedures. To remove it: 1. Remove two connectors from the clutch 2. Remove two screws from the sides of the clutch(1 on each side) 3. With a flat thin screwdriver, push down on the release bracket and pull clutch off. Note: When reinstalling, push white reduction/enlargement lever all the way to the exit end so that it will not go in center of cam on clutch. Do NOT try to put in groove. The lever sometimes breaks the cam. Good Luck! |

I am looking for instructions on removing the platen drive transmission on a Xerox 5009 R/E. It is my home copier and 12 years old, from what I have found the reversing clutch is the trouble with it. I have the machine apart and have taken 5 screws out and the trans will move a little but still cant remove it, any help is appreciated. |
