Randall, you will be proved 100% wrong---mark my words.

And: "because I'm tired of wasting my time responding to pro-war people that can't seem to read words on a screen"?? Nice open mind there, pardner. Substitute "anti" for "pro" and you have it about right.

My grandfather ( on my mothers side -polish-) fought against the nazi's in WWII. Was a POW, and escaped, twice. In his time he saw men executed, blown up by land mines, and tortured to death while sustining himself on grass and pond water. After the communist "takeover" of poland, he was kidnapped by "government agents" on a regular basis for weeks at a time , while my mother watched her father get dragged away by men in the middle of the night, questioning the possibility of his return, to the backdrop of her mother dying of cancer. What's my point? Social incarceration, on account of authoritarian rule, was a staple of existence in the eastern block, yet no one made heroic attempts to "liberate" those individual whos reality consisted of torture, unjust persecution, and intimidation; humanitartian as it seems, the objective to this war is yet unknown. For my grandfathers sake, I wish this deliberation towards humanitarian efforts would have caught on sooner; he's still got scars from being "examined" by knives and razor blades, and burn marks from having cigs and cigars extinguished on him.

Today the President mentioned WMD.
The statement you made is not correct.

"Don't bother responding, because I'm tired of wasting my time responding to pro-war people that can't seem to read words on a screen"

Yes, you really know how to argue to. Insulting the people that you argue with only hardens their beliefs, so I don't know what you try to accomplish here. In fact, you obviously do waste your time replying here, so its kind of foolish to act like you don't care. Plus, when you make useless conjectures with nothing backing them up (your "wait until we get hit") with any meaningful evidence, it can be easily dismissed. Then, you ask whether we should use our army to free the rest of the world. It is my believe we should. Well, if we are the superpower of the world, I feel its our moral duty to help the rest of the world. So yes, I hope we do invade N. Korea and all of those.

Randall, I keep forgetting that after the Allies liberated Europe, it was only 3 days or so before EVERYTHING returned to normal. NOT!!! Who cares if there's some looting going on from people who have 30 years or more of pent up frustation after living under a torturing dictator. Give it some time dude.

Randall, at least you are typing in English. If we followed that isolationist attitude that you seem to perscribe to, we would all probably be typing in German or Japanese today. Glad that we did the right thing back in WWII, and I think we're doing the right thing today by nipping another tinhorn dictator in the bud before he gets ahold of the BIG firecracker. Let's hope none of his boys already have one.

The silence for all you pro-war people will be deafening when another terrorist strikes against the US and the people that do it are Iraquis. Do you notice the lack of control right now in Iraq? EVERYTHING is up for grabs.
I've never said Saddam is a good guy, I've never said I don't think he has chem/bio weapons. The arguements that the president had for war were extremely poor. Anyone that can't see this is a fool. The president hasn't mentioned links to terrorism or WMD since the war started, because Americans like the "FREE THE PEOPLE" line the most. Our military is not supposed to be used for going around the world "freeing" people. What's next Iran, Tibet, North Korea or much of Africa? Maybe we should send in tanks and fighter jets to "free" the people that are afraid to go outside at night because crime is so high in their neighborhood.

Don't bother responding, because I'm tired of wasting my time responding to pro-war people that can't seem to read words on a screen.

There is a place in Hell reserved for Saddam and his henchmen right beside Hitler. Regardless of what the rest of the world says, we did the right, humane and honrable thing in Iraq.
