Looks like something from 10,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Utterly atrocious, which will make it a hit at the car shows =)

I think that interior is incredible.... ugly outside though, but if the interior was done in simpler colours I would definately want it in a car...

It'll show up at auction in 15 years from now and fail to reach the $25K reserve.

I too am speehless.. I wonder what it would actually sell for.. I can see the ad now:

2003 Very Special Honda Civic.. Has Everything, and some..Need to sell asap to start on next project.. $250,000 into it but I'll let it go for $195,000... May consider a 360 spyder as a trade but it must be pristine..I may also consider a Mucielago with few miles...

Betcha an almost exact replica of said car will appear soon at an import car meet/race/show, except that it'll be even more heavily modded by it's owner.

Everyone does realize that this is an Alpine factory car right? No one spent money doing that to the car; it's a corporate marketing tool.

Boycotting Alpine over a showcar leaves me more speechless than that car does. There are all kinds of manufacturers that market to the "ricer" crowd since those kids spend money on aftermarket parts.

Stock engine of that Honda Civic makes 190 bhp from 2 liters of engine displacement. However, with all that equipment inside, I bet a 1970's Civic could outrun it.

Sometimes Asian teens and young adults have misguided priorities regarding cars.

I still wished the new Honda NSX had a V8 or a V12 engine. It is afterall one of Ayrton Senna's last legacies.

Tim,
The interior is the real deal. I saw this car on TV a while back. It's just a show car, never driven on the street. It's about as wild as you can get right now. I personally wouldn't waste my money doing that to a Civic.

William - you had me laughing out loud! This looks like some kind of Timothy Leary, Star Trek experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong. Still, on some level, you have to respect the diligence and the desire to try something new.

Ok so whats the point of the 5 screens on the dash? is the dirve goingto watch 5 channels at once? what an ugly interior. i personally like the stock civic interior better. theres too much to distract the driver, and the last thing we need is more things to distract todays idiotic drivers. oh btw, i think the interior is a photoshop. things about it dont look right.

it always amazes me to see how much money gets spent fruitlessly trying to make a 'sow's ear into a silk purse'. why don't they just buy a 'real' something instead of some kind of teenager's plastic daydream?

That is one UGLY bug. I think someone should step on it.

And to think that Alpine would spend that much to make something look like that. When they used the Lambo, it was cool. With a Civic, I will not be spending any money with them. I do not want anyone to think I associate with "Ricers".

Never liked hatchbacks, the shape of the car is just plain and blah - not my thing... But what they did to this one - SUHWEEEET...!

Um, but no, i wouldn't pay a quarter mil for something like that, sorry... Still sweet, though... :-)
