Awesome...! & this should definitely be moved to General Discussion...! This is pure Ferrari stuff... Will you post pictures as you go along, if you get the chance...? |

Peter, you should take and post progression pictures, not just for our edification, but for your own personal sort-of Ferrari scrap book... That would make a cool coffee table book... |

About four months ago, I bought my '77 Euro 308 for $15K. The body was straight and ran well. I had a major on the engine and decided to rebuild the gearbox. With the engine out, I had the car towed home. Here I am with a car that had a half inch of oil everywhere! I cleaned the engine bay. After that, I decided to re-spray the firewalls and framework. Looking like new, I got more into this project! I pulled the seats and pannels, now out being recovered in a soft leather. I found a very good rubbing compound and found that my paint was in excellent condition! In parallel to the gearbox job, I am having a custom tuned exhaust built. When all of this is 'buttoned up', I am going to have so much more car than I thought I orginally purchased! Being my second 308, I think that with this car, I have found the true meaning of 'pride of ownership'. I think I will be very proud of this 308! |
