I rented a 348 spider on Maui a couple of years ago. This particular car was in decent shape despite 84,000 miles on the clock. There was a second spider for rent which was not in good shape. Another 348 (TS) was not available at all since the motor was all but blown up.

I got 6 hours behind the wheel of the 348 and it was fantastic. Don't think I would have bought it though...

Whatever you do, don't buy one of those rentals. I have first hand knowledge of the abuse they go through...

It has to be currently licensed and insured and safety inspected. And you're supposed to wash it too. Besides that, it's about $1,000 shipping to the west coast.

seems that way since there are a US state and I see plenty of Hawaii tagged cars on the streets. Just gotta pay to ship it and then I am sure the dock will want some type of registration paperwork. I think.....

actually, just call the DMV/tag office

I know there's been many posts about importing a Euro car to the states.

However, I am curious about importing a car from Hawaii. I found something I like.

It is a US version, titled and registered in Hawaii. Will the DMV allow me to simply register/title it as if I bought the car within the mainland states?

Thanks!
