1. depends on who pays the bill. if its a company phone, go with vodafone. best coverage and service. if you are paying the bill, then i would go with one of the pay-as-u-go schemes like virgin. this also depends on how much you call, lowish volume of calls favors virgin, high volumes plus travel favors voda.

2. the cable company you will be forced to use is ntl, and they suck. i just changed from ntl to sky digital. however, sky digital requires the installation of a dish so you will have to get permission to either install one or attach yourself to an existing one.

3. adsl, use the guide. i have a line from bt and i think its way too expensive.

out of market curiousity, can you divulge what you are paying for rent?

Ricky,

Answers to your questions

1 - All bad as each other!
2 - All bad as each other!
3 - All bad as each other!

Its not really that bad but it can get almost unbearable sometimes. Its unbelievable the amount of times people jump ship going from one provider to the other because of service problems. There is huge competition out there in communication land and will alter literally from month to month who offers the best deal or service.

I would personally do a newsgroup search on google to see what people are really saying about what sucks or who gets praised.

I personally use Vodaphone. I would have thought that by now all the airtime providers have ironed out the reception problems on fringe areas of their repeaters.
Ask a neighbour what airtime provider they have and how good their signal is.

For cable & broadband Telewest - http://www.telewest.co.uk/ seem to be up in the top 3 at the moment

www.adslguide.org.uk is a good site for information as well

ok guys, for those of you that remember I just got back from london and found a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat with porter on Palace Ct in Notting Hill.
My questions:
1) Who should i use as a mobile phone provider?
2) Who should i use as an ADSL provider?
3) Who should i use as a cable provider?

Many thanks.
