My A&P's got a form 337 you're not going to believe......

That engine/prop weighs more than the 172, and has a fuel rate like an OPEC dream.
Could put that on a T-6 - wow!

I'm sure the engine alone must be close to $100k in good condition, its a museum piece. The air racers would love to get their hands on it

Interesting.

This picture from http://www.car.co.nz/classic.asp?action=article&articleid=1800 makes me think twice about running this in a car with no firewall!
