Opel AG is also a very much German car manufacturer. You may remember the GT Opel that was imported in the early 70s to the US and was a mini Ferrari.

Here is their contact. Ruesselsheim is by Frankfurt.

Germane,

I guess you simply ask the following sites:
www.bmw.de
www.porsche.de
www.mercedes.de
www.audi.de
All sites have an english version and should as well have mail adresses. As far as I know its normally absolutely no problem to attend a tour. Just book in advance.
Another possibility is simply to go to the official dealership of the marques you want to visit and ask for a tour. They should help you especially if you are a client.
Except for Ferrari there is normally no problem to arrange something.

Con saluti cordialissimi,

I'm taking four of my sons to Germany in June primarily to visit car or engine factories for BMW, Porsche, Mercedes and VW/Audi. Does anyone have any suggestions on setting up the tours? We're a family of car guys, and would like to tour manufacturing facilities that perhaps most tourists don't even know about. Contact names, numbers, e-mail addresses or other information would be most helpful and appreciated. We've been to Maranello twice, and would go again this year, but the youngest son (15 years old) is too young for the Ferrari plant tour. Thanks in advance.
