My dog is named Puffy by my mother and sister, Max by my father, doggie by me, and tiger by my Grandfather.

Why?
Mom and sister thought he looked like a puffed up bag.
Dad doesn't know his name and guessed.
He is my doggie :-)
Grandfather had a dog like him when he was younger and called him Tiger.

He is a big black german sherperd.

Brilliant Arlie! My dogs grumpy and arrogant personality seems to match Bat Boy's photo :-)

JRV--thanks for the advice. That's why we waited 2 years before getting a second dog. Our breeder will help in picking a good match, as well. Senna is neutered, as will Enzo (working title!), so that will help. We went to a party this weekend, and there were 3 14-week-old goldens, all sisters. It was fun to see them play together, but you could see it begin to escalate into domination fighting.

This might have been right before Mr. Winston or he could have been hanging in his usual spot right next to Daddy. ;-)

Took a while to find some pictures, but here they are.

First. Mila (F) who always wants to drive...
Upload

Next. Lilu (F) who NEEDS to be with either of us at all times...

First picture taken when I was taking Mila to see some houses. Second picture taken after Lilu came home from a walk with her mommy.

Mila is a rhodesian ridgeback, and Lilu is an american pit bull terrier. Both have gone through doggy preschool-high school. Lilu is a high school drop out because she won't listen to anyone but her pops or mom. :-)

My wife and I had a Chihuahua (sp?) named "J. Edgar". He was a very handsome dog, so the name suited him well. But we could not have a dog in our apartment, so it was short-lived joy before we had to give him back.

My English Bulldogs name is Spanky, sometimes call him Biff also, it fits his look, after knowing a dogs personality for a while it seems a appropriate name pops up

I have 3 German Shepards, 13 1/2 yr old named Baldar taken from the Knights of the Roundtable, fits him like a glove, a 10 yr old female named Tundra, so named when adopted 8 yrs ago and she seems happy with her name, and another adoptee named Winston, now 3 yrs old, so named when adopted 1 1/2 yrs ago, and it's fits him perfectly, although he prefers to be called Mr. Winston :-).

A note on 2 females. Females (dogs?) are generally the most possesive and protective of "their" territory and extremely concerned (obsessed) with Pack Hierarchy...be careful when choosing not to put 2 Alfa females in the same pack (family) as it can lead to friction for dominance and hierarchy position.

I like that. I can tell we're going to let this become too much of a decision. God knows what we'll be like when we actually have kids!

Seeing the "boat names" thread, I figured I'd try this. My wife and I are getting a second Golden to go with our 2 year old, Senna (see my profile). We originally planned on getting a male and naming him "Enzo", but decided to get another female, instead. We like the name, but somehow it doesn't seem to fit a female. Any Ferrari/Racing related suggestions?
