Muscle cars fit right in and the exotics compliment the muscles. They do two different things and I love them both.

I'll put some pics up in the showroom

Straight line, heck. Just turn the steering wheel & nail the gas, and I guarantee we can get the car to "rotate"...

Greg might get mad, but hey, something about possesion is 9/10ths? It's only good in a straight line anyway.

Hey, Rob, why not bring the Superbird on Saturday?

That could be great fun...

My good friend Greg Scott, check out his collection. He's a full time hobby mechanic/restorer and part time lawyer. The Superbird is in my back yard right now.

Pat,

I made the mistake of selling my LS-6 chevelle
5 year's ago. Everytime I think about it I
want to slash my wrist!

It is a very frustrating spot to be in. I'm interested in selling but only if the right offer comes around and with the way 60's muscle car prices are going these days it might be worth it to hold on to it for a year or two more. Unless there is someone out there that would love a Convertible 66 for their 308 or Mondial :-)

Had a 1968 Olds 442. 400 cubic inches, 4-speed, dual exhausts originally. Put in a Crower roller cam, Doug's headers, high-rise intake with a 750cfm carb. Hurst competion-plus spring loaded shifter and 4:56 rear gears. Was an absolute blast to drive. Because of the gears, it did not have a very good top end, but it got there in big hurry. Wish I still had it.

"not enough of a mechanic to restore it"

If you can turn a wrench, you can restore. Dont be so hard on yourself JT. These old things are hoot to restore :-), and they are fairly easy to restore too. It sounds like your father has kept up with it(Cuda), so it cant be that hard to get the Detriot Muscle going again.

I agree, Tony. Many moons ago (15+ years before Ferraris) I had a 1970 Trans-Am with the high-compression 400 Ram Air motor, and a Hurst 4 speed. Man, but I loved that car!!! It was white with the blue stripe, was all original, had less than 10,000 miles on it when I bought it in 1983 with all records from new, etc. Regretfully, I had to sell it in order to pay off some college loans (I was one of very few of my peers who actually did so; most defaulted & let the taxpayers pick up the tab; a big portent of the dishonor so common these days; but that's grist for another thread). I made a large profit on the car, but, to this day, I wish I had kept her.

I bought a 69 Hurst Oldsmobile new from a dealer. Great car. Fast and very reliable. Never had a moments trouble with it and drove it hard virtually every day. The tires didn't last very long for obvious reasons.

Still have a 67 Cougar with a 351 Cleveland, C-6 transmission, about 425hp. Someday will get that Hemi-Cuda. Should have got it new when I was a senior in High School!

Was never into Muscle Cars while growing up but, just a year ago, my brother purchased an AAR 'Cuda painted purple (I think the color is called 'Plum Crazy'). What a great car! We have as much fun tooling 'round in that as we do in the Ferrari.

I love most muscle cars. I was at an auto show recently and saw a GTO with intakes just about everywhere in the front. Dispite it's weight, and other non modern parts, acceleration wise it could have with a modern Lamborghini up to the cars top speed... Lambos is obviously higher...

I still have my '73 Nova SS hatchback that I bought from the original owner while in high school back in '87. Went from 175HP and 14.90 to 475+ and 11.20's now. Unfortunately she has been relegated to the backyard and is in dire need of some resto work. Hence the 4 car garage for the new house. Also owned (and since sold :-( )'65 GTO,'71 Z-28/RS,'74 Nova SS.

The first car I bought, about 15 years ago, was a '65 Mustang convertible. Granted, it's not totally a muscle car, but I've always thought of it as one of the great American cars. Red, white top and interior. Then a bus smashed into it while parked.

I really like old american iron, and respect it greatly. Not enough garage space and time too devote to another car though.

I love to talk to people who also love the old iron, but I hate when they start putting down (higher) european imports...lucky that only seems to happen 1-20 times or so.
