Chris sorry to hear that. "This is why you carry a hand gun", agreed! Seriously, try to ignore them as much as you can, if that fails get a tag number and call the police. |

Going to University of Michigan to start my MBA. I have taken the LSAT and may apply to the MBA/JD program after my first year. Unfortunatley it snows in Michigan and they salt the roads- not good for a babied car. I could store it for the winter and get a beater but that is a bit impractical given I will be a student and the value of the 300Z. You can see pics of the Z at photos.yahoo.com/kmadan300z - click on Z pics. |

Chris congrats on the M3. LA and the Bay Area have big time ricer problems. I have a 300z and ricers are ALWAYS trying to egg me on. By the way, I seem to remember you had a 300z before. I am selling mine, as I will be moving east for grad school, so if you know anyone that wants a super clean non-turbo let me know. I'll email you a link. |

I have had similar experiences. It does get old... here, it is 50% "ricers" and 50% big jacked-up trucks wanting to "prove" themselves. It is annoying and dangerous. Either pull into the slow lane and slow down, stop in the break down lane, or get their license number AND call the highway patrol on them! :D Patrick |

OK, so I was kind of dreading this might happen...just got a (new for me) 99 M3 Coupe with aftermarket suspension, intake, exhaust system, etc. I'm still getting used to the car, and loving it...also getting used to driving a stick again after seven years of driving an automatic (I live in LA). This weekend, I'm driving down south to visit some friends and a couple teenagers (two separate incidents) seemed to want to "challenge" me with their (forgive me DES) "ricer" vehicles. I wasn't having any of it and just ignored them, and in both instances they made a slash at my car missing me by inches then giving me a dirty look. WTF!!!??? Can't I just drive in peace for God's sake? I don't care to race so they have to try and threaten me by running me off the road!? They damn near took me out each time. Made me wish I were in a Hummer and could slam them into the center divider like they were speed bumps. I just let both of them go and shook my head. Hope I'm not in for more of this because my usually sunny disposition could get dark real quick! Sorry, just had to vent! |
