Never read the Economist, so I can't say about that one. Do you recommend it above the publications I listed?

As far as WSJ, I barely have enough time to read BW once a week, I definately don't have time for 1/day.

Curious: why not the WSJ or Economist?

Thanks for your comments, keep 'em coming.

I understand that statement, and have heard it many times myself. Of course, if you are getting info via personal network or on Wall Street itself, it doesn't leave time for anything else, which is the dilema I'm in... So, perhaps you could take a look at this as far as, what is a good baseline, and it's up to me and my network to determine the up to the second needs as they come along?

Don't want to seem abrasive here but my key to success has always been listening to my dad. He's been known to tell me many times that "if it's printed, it's old news".

Barron's is good for financials. Keep in mind that with publications by the time the news is published the general public knows about it.Bloomberg business radio/t.v. is good for up to the minute news and world markets.

I'm wondering if any of you successful business people types can help me out a little here. I find that most of my knowledge and advantage in life comes from reading up on various things and keeping in touch with today (the rest comes from connections of course). However, I work full time as a techie, I go to b-school in the evenings, I manage a small real estate investment business, and I try to invest and keep up with stocks and bonds, while trying to enjoy my favorite hobby - 4 wheel dream machines.

To that end, I have subscriptions to: Money, Entrepreneur, BusinessWeek, PC Magazine, Kiplingers, R&T, MT, C&D, Automobile, and Autoweek.

I need to keep on top of the IT industry, business as a whole, real estate and investments. Does anyone have a favorite set of publications that fit the bill?

Any suggestions are extremely welcome, I only get to about half of what I'd like...
