Taek, I was looking for it, must've glazed right over the thread! I hear what you're saying about the kit car bit, but I see it like this: pure fun. I was thinking about it after dinner, and came to the conclusion that it's a personal project, it would be fun to be involved in the building (and there's a level of pride associated with that), and in the end, it's not for show, it's for you (or me, or whomever). And yeah, while an original would be a great car, there are a few things I'd want to do a kit car I wouldn't do to an original, and overall I think you could have a bit more fun with it. Plus, as you mention, they must be a BLAST on track. --Dan |

Dan, They do. If you read my other thread about what car to pick I mention it towards the end. I went to their website and saw they have a Daytona Coupe kit. Sounds like fun, but I don't know if I can overcome the stygma of being a kit car owner. Although I bet these things kick ass on the track in a fun factor standpoint. Cheers |

Not to get off-topic here (it's OT!), but does anyone know if Factory Five has a coupe kit, like the racecars? --Dan |

www.CobraCountry.com is a good source as well. My father and I were planning on picking up a FFR Cobra a few years ago, but that fell through. We instead picked up a '73 Triumph TR6. |

Im looking at buying one, have been for a year. Superformace is the best ive found. Im looking at buying a blue w/ white stripes/ 351 @ 400hp. superformance tells me nothing will touch it if I can keep it on the road. Plus any ford daler can work on it. The only draw back is resale these cars are very difficult to sale. |
