Anything i sign that isn't being faxed signed in blue ink...

i had a Fischer SPace Pen (Staples, $14.99) until i lost it; the picture of the dragon pen is awesome - i'd love to have something like that, but would undoubtedly lose it...

Gotta go, folks, need another Space Pen... :-)

OK, picture time Sunny.

First is of the box. Lacquer with mother of pearl lettering. The Chinese characters are the 12 animals of the zodiac.

Upload

The next is of the box open.

Upload

The one after is a more detailed shot of the pen.

Upload

This one is of the tip. Fountain pen. Shaky hands, and not knowing how to use the macro feature has yielded a blurry pic.

Upload

Pics of my other pen.

Upload

Detail shot of the Jelly Belly Pen. The little things in the pen move when you tilt it. :-)

Upload

DoubleTree Hotel room pens are the best. Just like BIC, they work until they run out of ink, but a bit more stylish! If you lose one, no big deal, just look under your couch at home for the Cross you lost six years ago!

Yeah, did those, but most of the time we would hang out at home. Get some of the girls to cook dinner and chill.

Met lots of good girls in college. Met my wife in college actually. She thought I was broke living in my uncle's pimp house in Newton. I set up my bedroom in the basement, see...

You got it wrong Kenny. If you had a Porsche, you were poor. :-)

Let me guess..

Avalon (heard it's gone) M80, zanzibar, Club Nicole..

Down to earth is all relative... I never found anything about that scene up there as such...

I took the bus in HS when my classmates were driving Porsches and BMW, I took the T in college, when my classmates, well you know how it goes.. In fact, it's refreshing to be attending grad school down in VA, where the girls are not decked out in Prada, and if you drive a 325i you're considered poor... I've actually gone out on dates with "normal" girls for once...

I'll snap a pic in a sec. Sonny.

My dad is into pens. His collection is SICK.

I mooched a gold Mont Blanc and other random pens from his collection.

Kenny,

I went to BC.

Euro crowd...Hahaha...Haven't heard that in a loooong time. Well, for classification purposes I was an international student, although I had been in the country for a good amount of time and my dad had houses here. I did frequent certain hangouts, but alas, not in a Ferrari. Most of the people who I hung out with were more down to earth, except for the odd guy/gal here and there. Most purposely kept a low profile. It's usually not good to flaunt, brings an unwanted crowd. If you frequented any of those "Euro" clubs you know exactly what I mean.

We waited until after school to get our toys. But boy did we have fun while in college. :-)

My favorite pen is my Montegrappa Dragon.

I was born in the year of the Dragon, as was my wife. I love the design.

That's what happens when the design department is headed by that jack ass Chris Bangle.. You come out with colors like that light yellow gold and laguna seca blue and I-drive which no one can figure out...

Doody,

Agree with the techno violet. When I was in college I knew a lot of people buying them at Herb Chambers. Great color. Wonder why they got rid of it. From what I remember it was a popular color.

ball point or rollerball?

dodge neon or chevy cavalier?

use a fountain pen or go home!

i keep three pens: one with blue ink (a porsche trichinoid); one with purple ink (a silver rotring 600 (the original pre-sanford 600 from about ten years ago); and a black rotring 600 with green ink (ditto, original 600). hmmm - all three german, i believe. interesting.

black ink is sub-optimal. you want to execute stuff not in the color of the gneeric HP printer text (black). tougher to screw around with. green is quite uncommon so nobody has it handy to mess with.

purple is pretty much unheard of, so definitely nobody can mess with it. i'm a fan. ever seen the old M3s in BMW Techno Violet? slick purple. i seriously considered ordering my 996TT in it. i may yet order a 360CS in it! we'll see.....

doody.

Great topic! My attorney friend an i were pondering the merits of blue or black ink just yesterday...
Maybe blue is better so you can distinguish it from copies...
Wondering to self what kind of pen do ricers in Britain drive? Do you think its made in Japan?

Blue for notes and black for business usually. Then again, if I'm caught offguard, whatever there is at the time.

I do keep some pens in the car but those are usually ball point cheapies for just in case purposes. The heat tends to bust up the rollerballs. Its always good to have a cheap pen in case you need it for other things, like prodding a drunk friend awake, drawing in his face, etc. At the end of the day you can always just throw it away.

Ball-Point!
I've even started to buy those odd size ball-point refills for my bigger pens. And I'm right handed.......

Rollerball, but I strongly suggest ball point for lefties. Their palm tends to smear the ink if they write with rollerballs.
