They're not free, but drak.net has been my web presence provider since 1997. Good people, great service and relatively cheap -- as low as $10/month http://www.drak.net/services/hosting.html |

I would like to add that paid hosting can be as little as $3.95 per month from some providers for a starter plan. But even those low-priced ones I would be weary of. Keep to the mid-price range paid hosts to be sure you get the best quality. Also, unlimited space and bandwidth doesn't exist. It's a marketing scheme to draw customers. Just a heads up. |

Believe me when I say this, but there aren't really very many "good" free web hosts. You get what you pay for, and this especially applies to webhosting. On my web site I have compiled a list of web hosts, including a few free ones (but I would stay away from those), some dedicated server providers, and paid hosts. http://techfiles.oc-clan.net There's plenty to choose from, just click on "Web Hosts" in the navigation bar. |

Hey guys, Im looking for a good free web hosting service to start a new website. Ive used geocities and others like it before but I cant stand them...the annoying adds and no direct linking to images. Anybody know of anything better...if there is anything better? Thanks |
