Eeek! Your g/f is giving you a subliminal message. Noticed that its a purply-red chimp with no balls. Turned that color after being 'snipped'. RUN, PETER, RUN!!! <grin>

I think I'm going to shoot myself. My girlfriend was not entirely amused with the three-balled mouse post. Just to piss me off, she came home with this today! If you could see the rest of our home, you would never believe she bought these two items!Upload

Rediculous items for the house that the spouse bought:

Funny, that's what the wife said when I bought a 30 year old car...

So really, I can't complain about anything she buys, because I spend too much money on my cars.

Along similar lines, what is your favourite piece of art/decoration, that you own or would like to own?

I have a technical illustration of a Ducati 916 chassis and motor that I had framed. And a carbon brake disc from a McLaren F1 GTR. Really like both of those.

Also have a pencil sketch by Leonardo da Vinci that seemed quite expensive since I was a student when I bought it. Now, I realize I got it dirt cheap. I spotted three of them at an art store on Rodeo Drive on spring break, kept in touch after I got back, and got one for a nice discount after some haggling. Trying to track down the other two, along with some F1 car pieces.

JT, was that home show in atlanta? I went to a home show here recently (don't ask) and people were going nuts over those things . . . .

Nika-

Thought romance is having your man figure out your favorite flower, grow it in his backyard and give it to you once it's fully grown.. :-)

Women, anything is romantic to them so long as it fits their whim and mood... lol

Bruce,
how sure are you of this. I've been operating under this assumption for a while, but I am beginning to doubt the logic!!!!

hahahahhaha - I am rolling on the floor laughing at this post. Peter...that is quite the interesting item. I have taken my Mom to a crap..er.....I mean CRAFT show praying I won't be bought a crochet doily of sorts. My half sister gave me a stone scupture of an Iguana that was...um.....er.....different.

Goodwill has a corner in their store for just such an item

It's funny how women shop and how enviroment and background help their style. My Mother was a war child and has a tendency to collect and save EVERYTHING. I'm more of a minimalist.....it has to be car related for me to have it collect dust. Impulse buys are the norm for many women - instant gratification.

Now as for my closet....it's worse than a walk in....it's a complete room....and for that boys, I am proud :-) I love to spend money but I hate to just "throw it away"....if you get what I mean with that.

Enjoy your mouse Peter....think of it as..um..."art"

After all, they choose to spend their lives with us....

LOL LOL LOL LOL

It is not the worthless garbage
that bothers me.

It is the fact that they often
put it in the garbage a few
months later. What a waste
of money? She purchases a
shirt wears it once or twice
and then trashes it.

I can wear a shirt 65 times.

Mine is also a good gal who
does not blow money. She
just loves to clean the closet.

A Marine once told me about
his wife that also had a
similar problem. She had
garage sales often. She
told her hubby about all
the money she brought back
into the household. He
said ~ But Honey you sell
some things that still have
price tags on them.

I had to make this post. My girlfriend is fairly frugal, but sometimes she has to buy some really off the wall item for the house that I just want to toss. Here is something every home cannot live without!Whats on the top of your worst item the spouse bought list?
