Des..I would think that if you did a web search of the business name, you should be fairly sure that the name you want to use will be OK. Also, if in the US, www.uspto.gov will list any trade name that the owners have filed for a TM on. | ||

We're starting another company, we've got a few ideas for a business name, but don't feel like waiting the weeks and weeks it'll take for the NYS Insurance Department to get back to us on whether the names are available; their website is just as helpless - does anyone know of a website that i can use to see if business names are available or taken, in NY...? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you... In compliance with NYSID requests, i mailed them a letter with some names we had in mind, but the answer to that letter won't be here for probably a month and we really don't feel like waiting that long... Plus, if we get a positive answer back from them, then we still have to go through another NYSID division and pay just for the request; time is of the essence, here... |
