Faisal we talked about this before. You are going to get me in trouble locally or read about me in the paper. You are the one that told me what to do; if they ever follow you home after they get your plate #. Gee FAISAL, that is what a paper plate is for when you know you are going to do foolish things. I was the one that told you about an airport TERSA. Of course that is only if you are really really really desperate. I also heard they will not pursue you around a downtown area that has very tall buildings. I do not know for sure ? Faisal just ride at night and you will have resolved having to talk about most of this bar room bravado talk. It does make you feel good to talk about it though. At NIGHT ~ NO CHOPPER ~ NO CHANCE. GixXXer anyone ? |

Thad remember you are the one with the brains. Just be glad you are not the one writing tickets and eating donuts for 20 years. |

"WOW! A speeding ticket thread and it was not from Des!" And this is why: "A violation of this section is NOT a violation of a law relating to the safe operation of vehicles"

Thad, make sure there's no DMV points. If there aren't, the smart thing is to pay the ticket and forget about it. If there are, fight it, delay it, relocate it, fight it, fight it. Ralph, Chopper tactics: - Underground/covered parking areas. - Restricted airspace (and lots of covered parking) around airports.

Ralph, that was for sure one of the best action sequences. I think Bad Boys 2 will have the same style of filming during the Maranello chase. Thanks...I will just pony up the dough and be done with it. I am off to study stats. Thad Brown |

Mr. L Wayne Ausbrooks, thank you for the prompt reply. Okay, I was not operating my vehicle in an unsafe manner so I will not be hit with points on my record. Now all I have to do is pay the fine and be done with it. Is that correct? Thanks again. (I have only had a Bus Law class at school so sorry if I sound ignorant) Thad Brown |

Thad, DMV has this to say about section 22526: "A violation of this section is not a violation of a law relating to the safe operation of vehicles and is the following: (1) A stopping violation when a notice to appear has been issued by a peace officer described in Section 830.1 or 830.2 of the Penal Code. (2) A parking violation when a notice of parking violation is issued by a person, other than a peace officer described in paragraph (1), who is authorized to enforce parking statutes and regulations." It is apparently a stopping violation in your case. Follow this link for additional info: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d11/vc22526.htm

Okay, I was in Westwood and was given a citation by bike cops for violating this statute. 22526. (a) Notwithstanding any official traffic control signal indication to proceed, a driver of a vehicle shall not enter an intersection or marked crosswalk unless there is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection or marked crosswalk to accommodate the vehicle driven without obstructing the through passage of vehicles from either side. So the big question is....if I pay the bail amount of $161 will points be assesed to my record? The officer said that this was a non-moving violation. So is this just a big parking ticket? So what do I do? Pay the Fine, or go have my day in court? Please help me F-Chat. Thad Brown
