That was actually a Sportiva, not a Gran Sport built on the 850 chassis... |

They were big after the war. They used to make their own engines and chassis but they eventually started to just put new bodies on Fiat chassis. The Grand Sport as I recall was a rebodied Fiat 850. It looked a lot like a Fiat dino just smaller.

Several years ago, I read an article in an obscure auto magazine about an Italian car called the Moretti Gran Sport. I know that Moretti was an Italian company that made alot of ho-hum small cars, but the Gran Sport was more sporty and looked like a baby Ferrari. Apparently a few made their way into the U.S. Has anybody ever run across one of those anywhere? Either in the hands of an enthusiast, for sale, or rusting away? |
