Im surprised having a test drive in Murcielago is such a difficult task! Well, I think I have a backup plan - Auto Salon Singen (biggest exotic car dealer in Europe) in Germany has Lamborghinis for sale, maybe I could send them email and ask for demonstration. I wont buy Murcielago unless I have a chance to try it, so if Lamborghini has enough customers who dont need to have a test drive and they wont have give me a chance to try it, then Ill forgot Murcielago ever existed ;) Still I would like to see the factory! Not surprisingly I havent got any contacts in Audi Group ;), so it seems my chances of driving the beast are fairly limited... but Ill try to contact UK Lambo dealer and see what they say. Thanks!

I just got back from the Lambo factory, I found it more modern & more impressive than Ferrari & the people were much friendlier. I would suggest trying through AUDI since they now own Lambo & have a Big presence there. The Executive lot is full of Audis or try to get a Lambo dealer to set it up for you. As for test driving a Murcielago, unless u have some extremely heavy contacts I Highly doubt it cus when I was there we spoke to the President of Lambo Dr Gioseppe Greco. He said there is 1 press car in the US & he cant give that up for test drives. A guy I know in SF was offered to drive the Murcielago cus they thought he might order 1. I would guess your chances would be better in Miami, LA or SF for testing 1. Good Luck |

Im driving to Modena trough Europe (from Finland) with my 89 TR in six weeks time. My dealer will arrange the factory tour so everything should be OK. At the same time I would like to see the Lamborghini factory and possibly drive the new Murcielago (possibly order one to England if the wait is not too long), do you know is this possible? Im sure it will take years before Ill have another chance to see the factory (too much work to do in my business). Visiting the Lamborghini factory would give me a chance to see how they build their cars and how the car really looks like (never seen one except in magazines). In case this would be possible, I would have a perfect trip! I have already been promised a demonstration in Ultima factory (in England), where I will have a chance to drive the new Ultima GTR. Its a superfast-supercar, check it in www.ultimasports.co.uk (they have a website in US as well). This is one hell of a car, with GM LS1 its something like 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 200mph! Well, it really is a kit car, but a lot cheaper than Murcielago. |
