Brett- I wouldn't say the quality is above that of a typical supercar because that's exactly what it is. The Lambos have steadily improved with each passing year, however so have all of its competition. The late 90's Diablos are a vast improvement over the 91-97 models and now with Audis money, engineering, quality controls and dicipline the Murcielago has raised the bar again. As with any car there are the 1st year production issues that pop up, but the company has quickly corrected them and the cars are relatively trouble free. They had some leaking shock absorbers (Konis problem) and a few bad stereo speakers but no consistantly reoccuring problems. The fit and finish has improved, the paint quality is better and the car seems much tighter all around. It's always difficult to balance reliability with 575 horsepower.

go to www.racingflix.com and check out the Merc vs. the Zonda. Its an interesting comparison and with impressions that at quite impressive, depending on how much you take from just a video. Also, check out the Top Gear video on the Muira/Countach/Diablo and its described as driving a refrigerator with a jet engine strapped on the back.

Reliability? Too early to tell. But with most things and the movement of technology, things are typically more reliable these days. But on the other hand, they are new compared to something several or just a few, years old.

Does anyone out there know, firsthand how/if VW has improved Labmo quality beyond the typical supercar?
