From the marks on the track he was no where near the grass at the start of the loose. This is simply another case of the driver taking it to the limit too soon. First you need to know how to drive, then you need to dial yourself into the car ... this takes a little time ... and a bloody long time if you cannot drive. I crashed one of my race cars once on the first lap of 2nd stint on a test session ... why?, because I was being stupid on cold tyres, and had not put the brain into race mode. Track time is very serious and testing when nobody else is there makes it harder to be serious about the job at hand. This is dangerous because even when you think you are not going quick, you are still travelling real fast ... Pete ps: The vertical doors look dodgy in an accident, if it had rolled would either of the doors been openable? |
