Taek,

Lambo's used 'stellite' valve seats. Likely not a problem with gas choice.

Did you run another offer by the guy?

It depends what Lamborghini used for valve-seat materials. If they used cast-iron - no problem. If they used a bronze, or other similar alloy, then they need to be changed.

Considering you would be doing a major restoration (including full mechanical), then this can be undertaken then and it shouldn't be too difficult or costly (expect valve and seat work anyways). It can be reversed, but I don't know why you would...

JRV,

Sorry about the delay. I'm still waiting on some things to get sorted.

A quick question folks...

These engines (350 GT V12) were still using leaded gas, weren't they? In CA the highest pump gas octane is a pathetic 91. Are there engine alterations that can be done to accept this gas, and are they going to be mild enough that one can restore it back to original without much ado?

Thanks!

Taek,

thanks for the phone call.

I'll be hearing from my Lambo friends sometime today about the other 350 GT's that may be availible, besides the one in Vegas.

However, if the seller in Vegas gives up on finding a drunken slot jackpot winner, he mght get real on his price making that one a good choice.

Like we discussed, being a whole car (all there) and not to much rust is the most important things with these cool old cars.

Regards, JRV

There are very few of them. I know of three. One in San Diego, another in Denver, CO and one in Las Vegas, NV. The LV one is a non-runner though. It was owned by a old casino guy sometime ago.

Yeah, they're great aren't they.

I'm currently hunting down history etc. on a 350 GT that I found. Hopefully I'll be filling the empty Lamborghini slot in my garage! So any feedback on these cars would be much appreciated.

They are great cars. I love those lines.and the 350 GT is nice. I live in LA but I don't see them. There is a blue Diablo that drives around here but that's it.
