U know in life, strange things happen. I know the previous owner of my car, a good friend, he never had a single problem with the car. Now with me, it starts acting up. Its like the owner of my old Testa, I hardly had any problems with it. Now the car has died on him three times already.

Honestly, I still think its a good car. But with all these "handmade" Italian cars, one car differs from the next. I guess its your luck.

The car is fixed, will pick it up on Friday.

Sorry to hear about your problem Lung - hope you get it sorted soon.

In case anyone's reading this and is worrying about Maserati reliability, mine's been fantastic and I know people with BMWs that have had all sorts of problems - anything mechanical/electrical can fail.

Cheers

Alex

Hey Lung, did you get the problem resolved? What condition was the car when you got it? Do you know if this problem with the Maseratis in general? Thanks for your help!

I was about to set off on my journey to KL Malaysia from Singapore (350km of highway)this morning when the "check engine" light comes on.

Mind you the car was in the shop earlier in the week to replace the transmission seal...now this?

Anyway, the mechanic came over to my place... he brought along the diagnostic kit. It was a dry joint in one of the accelerator sensors. Ok.. nothing a quick squirt of WD40 won't fix. Done! Light goes off...everyones happy.

We take it on a test drive...everything ok.

I go home, repack my stuff...start the car... and that damn light comes on again.

The cars in the shop! What can I say? I think I will sooner or later trade this car back in for a good old 512TR.

Sigh!
