The one off Iso Daytona that was mentioned by
Horsefly was at Pacific Raceways this July 4th
for the Historic Races. It was piloted by its
new owner Richard Mattei.

Interesting thread. Can anyone inform me about the "Palace revolt"? Thanks.

Few Iso Grifo and Bizzarrini models:

Any of the Meade cars exist today, or were they rebodied back to original Ferrari's.

Speaking of Bizzarinis, here's another link to an interesting car. It was actually listed as an Iso even though it is more a Bizzarini. I didn't know they made a special Daytona version with modified bodywork.

Very strange that it is listed as an Iso because even the standard Iso has noticably different bodywork from the more racier looking Bizzarini.

Who was the guy that did wickedly beautiful rebodies of f cars in the 60's? Not a large italian coach works, (possibly an American).

Bizzarrini designed the 250 GTO for Ferrari, but was one of the "gang of 5" who left Ferrari during the "palace revolt." After developing Lamborghini's V-12, he worked aa a consultant & designer at Iso developing the Iso Rivolta, Iso Grifo A3L & A3C & Iso Varedo. He ultimately had a Judicial battle over the name Grifo, and built the Grifo A3C under the names Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada & Corsa. He also designed other wicked cars. Just ask if you want more info.

Someone help me out here, but I believe Bizzarini came from Iso (of Iso Grifo fame), and built his own cars afterwards.
